A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

Devoid is a twin-stick shooter where energy drains with every move. Fight waves of enemies to regain it in a procedurally generated space dungeon. Survive station to station and escape with skill.

ENERGY DRAINS

Every move, damage taken, and weapon overuse causes energy to deplete. Gain it back by eliminating enemies, and reaching the next dock.

ENTER THE SPACE DUNGEON

Experience close quarters combat in outer space. Battle through swarms of enemies as you crawl through corridors of asteroids. Collide too hard with the environment, and you're space debris.

PURSUE GREATNESS

Dock alive, score high, and climb the leaderboard. Actions throughout a run will determine your score. Devoid caters to a wide range of skill levels, while maintaining raw competitive integrity for the hardcore crowd.

good game, needs more STUFF

Thank you. And I agree! We've got some exciting things planned for the future.

Honestly, super fun gameplay loop. It feels tight and responsive, and the sound design is really solid. All that being said, there are a few things, like enemies will spawn in the asteroid clusters on the edge of the map with no way to get to them and usually it's okay if you just move to another area because more will spawn but if you're low on energy It can be a run ender. While the dash is super fun, I found myself accidentally doing it a lot as I went to switch directions a lot, so perhaps a way to change key binds or even just putting it on the shift key would be such an improvement, and also a way to pause the game would be amazing too. This is super fun, and I definitely recommend it if you're a fan of twin stick shooters, and I really look forward to where this game will go. I'll be following it closely! Good luck with the process and keep it up :)

Thank you! Enemy spawning could certainly be improved. I agree, its crushing when you are low on energy and the enemies are unreachable. As for the dash, I plan on adding the ability to bind keys (maybe in the next version) that way you can set it up how you'd like. Pause menu... uh yeah that should also prob exist lol. Glad you enjoyed the game. I'll be taking all of this into account for V3.
